So for the last few days I've been seeing just one magpie wherever I look, and thanks to the superstitious rhyme one for sorrow two for joy I have been going round wallowing in my "one for sorrow" way of life BUT today there I was in the car driving from lunch when I looked out the car window and 2 magpies flew down, at almost the same time good old Bonnie Tyler came on the radio singing the famous words "I'm holding out for a hero". At this point I was convinced fate was trying to tell me something, clearly if I hold on for a bit longer my hero will come and find me, now I'm not expecting prince harry or anyone like that but a nice Italian Stallion or maybe fit guy in the window opposite will eventually wave at me when I wake up one morning and my love life will start looking up again. Now I know some people will think it's just superstitious mumbo jumbo but I don't think anyone should underestimate the power of the magpie, magpies are very dangerous birds if their superstitious rhyme is not taken seriously and I like to think that these signs are maybe a sign from someone telling me to hang on in there and everything will start looking up again. So yes thank you Mr Magpie and thank you Bonnie. May the holding out for my hero begin...
